Targeted Support Notification for Little River School Little River has been designated as a Targeted Support & Improvement Additional Targeted Support (TSI-AT) School by the North Carolina State Board of Education. As stated in ESSA Section 1111(d)(2), North Carolina had to identify schools for targeted support and improvement. TSI-AT schools in North Carolina are those that have a subgroup that is under-performing. The intent of this opportunity is to improve educational outcomes for all students, close achievement gaps, increase equity, and improve the quality of instruction. Consequently, Little River receives additional funding from the federal government to assist with school improvement to improve outcomes with this identified subgroup.
Under North Carolina’s Parents’ Bill of Rights, Little River families have the right “to review all available records of materials [your] child has borrowed from a school library.” This means you can easily search your child’s school library catalog and view their checkout history. To explore your school’s library collection, visit the Follett Destiny Parent Portal. For step-by-step directions, see the guides in English or Spanish. These tools help parents stay informed and involved in their child’s learning and library experiences.

DPS Technology Fee DPS has implemented a technology fee this year to help sustain our 1:1 Chromebook environment for grades K-12. Paying the technology fee is also a form of insurance for you; it means that if your student damages their Chromebook accidentally, it will be repaired at no cost to you for the first incident. (Further incidents will be your responsibility to cover.) The fee is $15 per child in grades K-5. There is no fee for Pre-K students. THANK YOU to those who have already paid the fee! If you have not, please find the links below:
Device agreement form This form explains policies around the technology fee, damages to devices, and returning devices at the end of the year. Please fill out this form even if you have already paid the fee!
