The PTO BOOK FAIR is now open daily from 7:30am - 3:00pm. See the flyers sent home last week. With Book Fair there comes our annual TEACH OR TREAT and HAUNTED BOOK FAIR this Thursday, 5pm-7pm. Students are encouraged to dress up in costume and answer questions from staff for treats. This fun event provides a great opportunity for parents to shop the book fair as well!

A message for our middle school families: The City of Durham invites DPS students who are 13 years of age or older to participate in Participatory Budgeting (PB), regarding city projects benefiting youth. Access the Participatory Budgeting links below. Student participation is optional. Students will be able to participate through October 31, 2023, and may only vote once. I9 Sports I9 introduces its upcoming fall programs taking place at Lucas Middle School. Programs are designed to engage and inspire young athletes while promoting the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and a healthy active lifestyle. Program offerings includes soccer, flag football, basketball, and more.
