• DPS begins providing weekly COVID-19 testing on site each Monday at Little River this week for registered participants. Please click here to register if interested in having your child participate. For more information on the testing program, please visit the COVID Dashboard on the DPS Website.

• A note from PTO: October 25 is the LAST DAY to order your Go Play Save coupon books. There are over $10,500 discounts from over 365 local Triangle merchants. You can send in the envelope with your student or pay online with the link on the form: www.GoPlaySaveTriangle.com/store/LRS2022.

• Thank you to PTO for supporting teachers in Crayons2Calculators!

• DPS will begin providing weekly COVID-19 testing on site at Little River the week of October 18 for registered participants. View a flowchart of how this weekly testing is designed to help identify potential COVID-19 cases more quickly and limit the potential spread of the virus. • The end of quarter 1 is approaching and report cards will soon follow. Be on alert for an invitation for your child’s teacher for a conference!

• The Link to Curriculum Night will be shared with you by your child’s classroom teacher. Please RSVP here as to whether you plan to attend. If you need translation support, please indicate here.

• In conjunction with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Durham Public Schools will begin providing weekly COVID-19 testing on site at Little River. This is a voluntary testing process designed to help identify potential COVID-19 cases more quickly and limit the potential spread of the virus. Sign up via information letter here: ENG  SPA. Learn more about COVID-19 testing here. In order for students to be included in the first round of testing, permission forms must be submitted by Sunday, October 10th. Paper forms can be picked up at the front of the school. You can request a paper form to come with your child here.

• Little River conducted a lockdown drill on September 30. As with  our monthly fire drills, DPS recommends that schools conduct lockdown drills periodically during the  school year. If you have questions about our safe schools plan, please feel free to contact Dr. Hogans
