November 21

Hello to the week Little River School Community!
I hope that each of you has had a great Thanksgiving.

Students will continue their work with Habit 2 over the
next few weeks. By now most of you have had opportunity
for conferences with your child(ren)’s teacher about the first
quarter. Soon progress reports for second quarter will be sent
home. Habit 2 provides great opportunity to talk about
performance with your child. I encourage you to keep the
communication open between you and your child(ren)’s
teachers.

Here are some highlights of events this week: 1) Little River
Chorus will sing at Durham’s annual tower lighting at
American Tobacco District this Friday; 2) The PTO Little
Shops event will take place this Saturday.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our recent
annual service project. Have a great week of school!

November 16

Hello to the week Little River School Community!
I hope that each of you is readying for a joyous
Thanksgiving!

Our school had an opportunity to visit A.B. Combs
Elementary in Wake County, the first Leader in Me
School. We are excited about what we saw there and
how that might enhance our work at Little River. I hope
that each of you is having great opportunities to discuss
Habit 2 at home and how it helps our friends be Wavemakers
in Beaver Nation.

Remember there will be no school on Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday of this week due to the Thanksgiving
Holiday and break. If you are looking for a good post
Thanksgiving holiday activity, Duke Athletics is offering f
ree tickets for the for the November 24th Duke football game
vs. Wake Forest. All the students and families have to do is
visit our school website for the link to register.
Have a great week of school and a wonderful holiday! And
remember to walk the river way every day in Beaver
Nation: to learn respect and shine!
