In conjunction with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Durham Public Schools will begin providing weekly COVID-19 testing on site at Little River. This is a voluntary testing process designed to help identify potential COVID-19 cases more quickly and limit the potential spread of the virus. Sign up via information letter here: ENG SPA. Learn more about COVID-19 testing here. In order for students to be included in the first round of testing, permission forms must be submitted by Sunday, October 10th. Paper forms can be picked up at the front of the school. You can request a paper form to come with your child here.
Little River conducted a lockdown drill on September 30. As with our monthly fire drills, DPS recommends that schools conduct lockdown drills periodically during the school year. If you have questions about our safe schools plan, please feel free to contact Dr. Hogans
