  • Middle School Students-Mental Health Awareness Event!

  • SCIENCE STANDARDS STAKEHOLDER SURVEY & DATA REVIEW COMMITTEE NCDPI is moving forward with the review and revision of the K-12 Science standards. They are seeking input via this survey through July 1 to collect feedback on the current standards from educators, administrators, parents, students, and other education agencies. The team is also seeking participants to serve in the standards review process on the Data Review Committee, application here, due June 6. Contact Linda Tugurian, Emma Refvem, or Amanda Bowers with any questions.

  • BOOST program slots available for rising 6th through 8th graders BOOST, the Duke University STEM mentoring program, has a few slots available for rising sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, with an extended application deadline of May 25. The program returns to in-person activities this summer. BOOST works with students from historically underrepresented communities, matches them with high school and college STEM mentors, and provides hands-on STEM opportunities throughout the school year.
