August 24

Hello to the week Little River School Community!
Welcome to the new school year! Thanks to
everyone who came out to Open House last week.
We hope you found your meeting with your child’s
teacher and classroom informative and your
household is set for a great first week of school!
Meeting your child’s teacher and learning about
the classroom is a great way to help support your
child in his or her learning. Now is the time to work
to transition from summer schedule to school day
habits that will get your child off to the best start:
Meet your child’s teacher and ask how you can
best support the learning program for your child;
Join the PTO; Develop a routine around school:
bedtimes, check notebook and backpack everyday,
set up a homework area at home;Talk about the
day with your child as much as you can: ask about
lunch, recess, feelings about teachers and classmates,
and ask about what new was learned; We are
looking forward to a great school year, as I’m
sure you are as well.

Plan to attend the curriculum night for your child(ren)’s
grade level, wherein you will learn more about
the academic program your child will engage.
The Little River School student-family handbook
is available on this website for your review.
Access via the ‘Parents’ tab.
Have a great first week of school! Explore our
website for news and events at school.
And remember to walk the river way every day in
Beaver Nation: to learn respect and shine!
Kindly,

Dr. C. Hogans
